Was away in Penang for a short getaway last weekend. Here’s some snapshots of the street art that I stumbled upon. They were painted by Ernest Zacharevic, a Lithuanian mural artist.

On 2007, korean artist Jean Shin created Sound Wave out of melted vinylrecords. The sculpture was part of The Museum of Art and Design’s exhibit“Second Lives: Remixing the Ordinary.” The artist explained the sculpture shows “the inevitable waves of technology that render each successive generation of recordable media obsolete.”

Good to have Trase One over to work on the design aesthetics for the upcoming birthday bash of I ♥ DUBSTEP. Just like the music that resonates with the youth, his work represents the kind free spirit lurking within us. To top it off, he was recently featured in the French TV network where he led the camera crew to the streets of Singapore and explained how he worked around the constraints and spaces to put up his work (Video).
This is an extraordinary piece of documentary work that puts our local art agencies to shame. Can they beat the french folks who even come out with an iPhone application, All City Street Art and Graffiti where they gather users to view, tag and share interesting street art in their region?

This has to be the tightest choreography around…someone please book this dance group, La Preuve Par 4 instead of Lion Dance for my Chinese New Year. If not, at least for our local Art festival!

Jim Denevan, Sand Etchings

Stunning pieces of work by the landscape artist. The first one reminds me of a gigantic vinyl on the beach!

My wet dream…the music, the clothes, the visuals! Truly an inspiring piece of art…

Whoever she is, I have fallen head over heels over her music videos! Just like Fever Ray whom I accidentally stumbled upon last year, her songs make my heart pound twice as fast. Big huggies to my man who send the link to her stuff. Currently, she only has this youtube channel where she releases her music videos yet leaves no clues as to who and where she is from!!!

Loving this pair of creative outfit known as Esquare. Elle P is a media artist and skilled singer while Fxyz is the producer turning the knobs. As for their music video Yet, it perfectly captures the way I start each working day; psyching myself out of bed and live each day as if it is the last one!
