Lush Studio has moved back to Caldecott Hill - a place with a history of broadcasting since the 1930s. Not sure why they got out of Orchard Central, which is a more convenient location for all the DJs. In the meantime, I have gotten my set ready and sent over to the station for airing this Saturday.
For this round, there’s quite a bit of southern rap and pitched up or down vocals along with crisp snares and heavy sub-bass that will rattle your soundsystem. The hipster music fans have termed the style as TRAP music. For me, it sounds just like the good old spirit of Hip Hop riding along the 140ish tempo while giving any Bass or Dubstep set an interesting variation. At the end of it, what matters most is the joy of putting together a set of tunes and sharing them with the keen ears out there.
