A Taste of Lush (ATOL) on Clubscape is a radio segment hosted by X’Ho. This was also my first time getting interviewed and then jammed with a musician on national radio. It was a lot of fun to be accompanied by Hafez Masterpiece who blended his vocals & effects to my set while I dropped tunes. For those who miss the show, the set will be posted up on Mixcloud once I get hold of the recording.
Another good piece of news to share is my bi-monthly Lush Mix line-up for the station. This is another great avenue to push for the post dubstep or future garage side of things to the listeners out there.

This has to be the tightest choreography around…someone please book this dance group, La Preuve Par 4 instead of Lion Dance for my Chinese New Year. If not, at least for our local Art festival!

Tunes that I like to drop for the floor. Enjoy!

After Chinese New Year, comes a great chance to drop future garage set before SBTRKT & Sampha’s live performance. Perhaps I could borrow their famous masks for photo session too. Drrrreaming…
Anyway, details of the gig and ticket price here.

This month onwards, I’ll joined Home Club as one of the residents for I ❤ Dubstep. Although the night has cemented itself as the musical benchmark among the bassheads in Singapore, there is always the challenge to drop a set that adds good variation to the monthly line-up.
Besides regular residents Jerls & Darren Dubwise, guests gracing the decks will be North London DJ Deville, one of the co-owners of Senseless Records as well as drum n bass homeboy, Andy Vortex of Qilin label / Exitmusik.com fame. Details here.
For guest-list, just hit me up through email or social media. See y’all at the WUB WUB speakers!

The video snippet was one of my many favourite segments at Dubpocalpypse NYE Special. It may seem to be just a night of WUB WUB WUB to the newbies & sour puss, but what got me so excited about this night is the potential to blend in so many sounds, genres and talents while keeping to the dance sensibilities on the floor.

All in all, 2011 for me ended with a bang, then swiftly followed by 2012  which started with a new burst of energy to discover more!

Shared my story as a bass head in the second edition of the CLEF.SG magazine. As always, it’s good to see publication delivering content on local music-makers, creative individuals and events. From tracing the rise of Singapore Bass music movement to featuring regional bands /performers, this is another issue that does not disappoint!

Stunning pieces of work by the landscape artist. The first one reminds me of a gigantic vinyl on the beach!

Another favourite tune of SBTRKT with Sampha’s soulful vocals. Can’t wait to catch them performing live next month. Get your early bird tickets here.

If you are thinking of ushering the year 2012 with bass music in all its myriad forms, there could be no better place to be than Home Club. Kicking off the night at 9 p.m. and running till next day 4 a.m., there will be 6 DJs, 1 MC, visuals and more to set the ‘Doomsday theory’ with a bang! More details of Dubpocalypse NYE Special here.
